France has a rich history influenced by Celtic and Gallo Roman cultures, shaped by some profound events. Nevertheless, it has grown to be famous for fashion (Chanel, Dior, Givenchy) and for its iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Cathedral of Notre Dame as well as for its art which is evidenced in the art district of Montmarte.

France is also famous for its wine growing regions, although its reputation of being the world’s greatest producer of wines has been rivalled by other wine growing nations. There are a few popular wine growing regions which I would like to visit and I have chosen the following which are currently on my list, yet to be visited.

  • Bordeaux
  • Burgundy
  • Cotes Du Rhone
  • Loire Valley
  • Jura

In the meantime, join me as I explore other parts of France beginning with its capital, Paris.
